Man left horror-struck after doctors find cockroach in ear; spine-chilling deets inside

In a bizarre incident, a man was left shocked after doctors found a cockroach in his ear. This unusual case was reported in New Zealand.

The 40-year-old man named Zane Wedding was having some problem in his ear after he had gone for a swim on Friday morning.

On the same day, he fell asleep on his couch and woke up with a blocked ear. He also felt a wriggling sensation in his ear and then decided to seek medical help, the New Zealand Herald first reported.

On January 8, he went for a medical checkup and the doctor prescribed antibiotics and told him to try and dry his ear out with a hairdryer.

But, this advice didn’t help him and he continued to have a lot of discomfort in his ear. After two sleepless nights, he took an appointment at an ear clinic to see a specialist.

“Within one second of looking in that ear she identified it as an insect,” the 40-year-old man said. “But she was shocked too, she couldn’t believe it. She said, ‘Oh my god … I think you have an insect in your ear.”

The doctor also left shocked and then took a suction device and tweezers to pull the dead cockroach from the Wedding’s ear.

Wedding gave the dead cockroach to the specialist as a memento as she had never extracted an insect before.
