Drivers on the highway left shocked after they witnessed a large drove of cows on the A2 motorway near Dover in Kent, United Kingdom.

The video of the incident has gone viral on social media. In the clip, the animals can be seen running on the road, due to this the traffic was halted as the drivers couldn’t move their cars in the middle.

The incident reportedly took place at 5:30 am. The bizarre moment was captured by a man named Joe Clift, who was on his way to his work, according to a metro.co.uk report.

"I was in pure shock because It’s really strange to see. It was like a weird dream. They were literally sprinting up the road. When I noticed traffic had built up in front of me and cars had put their hazard lights on I stopped and left a big gap, and then about 30 cows emerged from the traffic," Clift said.

Clift revealed that there were some little calves with the cows on the highway. The animals were running on the highway and drivers stopped their vehicles due to the surprising incident. Clift captured the scene from his car.

However, the cows were later removed from the busy road after the intervention of Kent Police.

According to Clift, the incident didn’t last for over a minute as police handle the situation without causing much of inconvenience for the drivers on the highway.

"I would have been worried about them running into my car if it was mine, but with it being a company van so I wasn’t too fussed," he said.

Earlier in the US, two drivers from Michigan states were left stunned after they saw a herd of deer suddenly jumped in front of their cars from the forests.
