During the Independence Day celebration, BJP MLA and former minister Punnulal Mohle, Collector Rahul Deo, and SP Girija Shankar Jaiswal released pigeons to symbolize peace and freedom. While the MLA's pigeon flew off, the SP's pigeon fell to the ground.

In a letter to the Collector, the SP expressed concern over the incident, emphasizing that the situation could have been more embarrassing if it had involved the chief guest.
