Bride goes bald just before her wedding; know bizarre reason

Marriage is comprised of many rituals and functions that have to be followed by both groom and bride. Before tying the nuptial knot, a couple promises each other to stay together for the rest of their lives. However, wedding rituals and traditions are celebrated differently in different countries and religions. A strange wedding ritual has come to light where the bride is asked to go bald before the wedding.

This bizarre tradition is followed by the Borana tribe that is situated in the middle of Ethiopia and Somalia of South Africa. The tribe is dominated by men over women.

In this tribe of South Africa, men take care of the village and the animals while the women are supposed to do decoration of the house and carrying out all the traditions.

Girls in the Borana tribe have to grow their hair only before marriage. Before getting married, they have to shave their hair in order to get a good groom. As per Borana tribe belief, if a woman shaves her head then she will get a good husband. Another thing that will surprise you about this tribe is that they don’t consider it good to be photographed. By doing this they can face a blood deficiency in the body. While the luckiest boy in the village keeps his hair the longest.

Reportedly, the tribe is also moving forward along with the society. Now, the Borana tribe girls are also allowed to leave the village and get settle in the big cities to start their new life.
