In a bizarre incident came to light from Uttar Pradesh’s Saharanpur where parents named their newborn baby boy ‘Sanitiser’.
According to the reports of India Today television, the father of the boy, Omveer said that using sanitiser these days is very important to keep safe from the contraction of COVID-19 pandemic. “The government in this time of crisis is ensuring an adequate supply of sanitisers so that people can use them to remain safe. Free sanitisers are also being distributed to the needy across the nation.”
Omveer also added that he and his wife are impressed with the steps taken by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to battle the novel coronavirus.
The couple named their son ‘Sanitiser’ because it is being used by everyone these days in a bid to keep the spread of germs at bay.
The newborn baby was born on Sunday at a private hospital in Saharanpur district.
Since the virus outbreak in India, several couples have kept such bizarre names to their newborn children.
Earlier on April 8, a similar incident had been reported where a couple named their two newborn babies as Corona Kumar and Corona Kumari in Andhra Pradesh.
In Madhya Pradesh too, a couple named their son Lockdown on April 7.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister has extended the lockdown in the country till May 3 due to the surge in a number of positive cases for Coronavirus.
