In an extremely amusing case, a 59-year-old man has been survived with a con in his nose which got stuck when he was just 6.
The unmanned Russian man wedged the money into his right nostril. Shockingly, he got so scared that he even didn’t tell his ‘strict’ mother about it and then forgot to tell about the same, local media reported.
Apparently, the man managed to live with the coin for the next fifty years unimpeded by the blockage until he recently complained of breathing problems at all in his right nostril, metro.co.uk reported.
The man went to the hospital and was given a scan which showed some object inside his nasal passage.
Rhinoliths – stones in the nasal cavity – had formed around the coin, which has caused him trouble while breathing.
Doctors conducted endoscopic surgery under general anesthetic removing the stones and took out the Soviet one kopek coin from his nose after 53 years.

Specialist otorhinolaryngologist Elena Nepryakhina said: ‘We operated on Friday (November 20) and he was discharged on Monday (November 24). He has regained full nasal breathing.’
As per the metro.co.uk report, this is not the first case when a person who survived with a foreign object lost up the nose many decades earlier.

In 2015, a man named Steve Easton, then 51, from Surrey, had a sneezing fit during which a tip of a toy dart was found inside his nose.
Reportedly, he put that dart in his nose when he was just seven. Though his parents took him to the hospital, doctors could not remove it at that time.
However, he had often complained of headaches and sniffles which he put down to hay fever. Surprisingly, he didn’t aware that a dart had been stuck in his nose for the last 44 years.
