Bizarre! Groom calls off wedding, marries another woman for this non-veg dish

In a bizarre incident, a man in Odisha cancelled his wedding after the bride’s family failed to serve the lunch ordered by the members of the groom’s family. However, he married another woman in the area before coming home.

According to media reports, the man identified as Ramakant Patra, 27, a native of Rebanapalaspal in the neighbouring Keonjhar district. On June 23, Patra arrived at the wedding venue in Bandhagaon village with his family.

The family of the bride greeted the groom and his family. They were led to the dining hall after performing some rituals.

Why wedding called off?

The chaos took place when members of the groom’s family ordered mutton curry before lunch. Due to the lack of preparation, the bride’s family failed to serve the mutton. Due to this, a fight erupted between the families, and then Patra called off the wedding.

Reportedly, the groom refused to do any wedding rituals and departed the venue with his wedding procession.

As per reports, Patra went to his relative’s house in Gandhapala village in Sukinda’s Kuhika panchayat, where he married another woman from Phulajhara in Tamka on the same night before returning to his home in Keonjhar.
