“Will see you at the court”, is very popular and commonly used statement by people when they are discontent with something or someone. But here this move was taken by a son against his parents over ‘porn’ collection. As we all know porn addiction can be turned into a matter of concern if not taken seriously, in a bizarre incident, a son sued his parents for $86,000, that is approx 60 lakhs.
According to reports, an American man identified as Charlie, resident of Michigan had moved back with his parents in 2016 following his divorce. However, he later moved out of his parent's house following which his parents sent his belongings to his new place when this unbelievable incident happened.
It happened when Charlie, who was a divorcée and also a porn addict was shocked to see that his adult film collection was missing. When he asked his father about it, he confessed him of destroying 12 boxes of porn collection. This made man angry following which he filed a police complaint claiming it was worth $29,000, approx 20 lakhs.
However, the prosecutor's office denied to press charges, the man went ahead and filed the case again, seeking $86,000 in damages, approx 60 lakhs, stating his collection was "valuable and now out-of-print."
He also submitted to the court as evidence was an email exchange that happened between Charlie and his dad.
The man’s father wrote that “We counted twelve moving boxes full of pornography plus two boxes of s*x toys as you call them. We began that day the process of destroying them and it took quite a while to do so.
In reply, Charlie sued his parents and said, “If you had a problem with my belongings, you should have stated that at the time and I would have gone elsewhere. Instead, you choose to keep quiet and behave vindictively.”
