Do you think of yourself as a Mathematician? If yes, then solve this equation which has beats everyone’s brains out on social media. A mathematical equation is doing the rounds on Twitter which has left many puzzled to solve it.
An equation was shared by a KJ Cheetham on his Twitter handle. He captioned, "A maths meme that is funny rather than stupid: Solve carefully! 230 - 220 x 0.5 =?"
He also wrote the answer to the problem is 5. But didn’t mention the solution.

Twitterati started their brainstorming session on this question but their answer was not matched with the correct answer that Cheetham told in his tweet.
Many of the users were not convinced with the answer as in their opinion the correct answer is 120.

Multiplication has a higher priority than addition or subtraction, unless overridden by brackets
There are rules for maths and how to write and interpret. The answer It is not 5 and never will be unless parenthesis are inserted (Brackets) all spreadsheets will follow these rules and that way your pay cheque will be vaguely accurate! pic.twitter.com/IYSXoxYUf9

I say it is 230 - (220 x 0.5), which is 230 - 110 = 120
We have to follow BODMAS formula...Not mind...
