A 75 year old women gives birth to a baby girl in Rajasthan’s Kota through In vitro fertilisation (IVF) on Saturday.
The new born baby has been moved to the intensive care unit (ICU) of another hospital while the mother was still in Kinkar Hospital in Kota. The baby was underweight and weighed 600 gm, a team of pediatricians is keeping track of the baby.

Earlier, the women had adopted a child, but she wanted to have her own kid and therefore had seeked advice from the doctor about the possibilities of her becoming a mother. She desired to attempt IVF, said Abhilasha Kinkar, a doctor at the hospital.
The baby had to be delivered prematurely through C-section after six and a half months of pregnancy considering the mothers age, who was medically and physically frail. Furthermore, the women possessed only one lung, which was a test for the doctors.

The women came from a farmer’s family and had a rustic history, she wanted to have her own baby, which left the doctors confounded, doctor said.
