US: School boys wear 'off shoulder tops' to protest against the punishment given to 20 girls
Women equality is a widely discussed and talked about matter even in the 21st century. Yes, it is the year 2017 and women are yet to receive an equal status in society.
It seems that the fight for equality will continue for many ages to come following the everyday sexism that girls face.
California's San Benito High School has drawn ire from various parts of the society as it sent 20 girls home for 'apparently' not adhering to the school’s code of conduct.
The girls were wearing off shoulder tops because of which they were directed to ho home.
It has been told that the school had issues with girls dressed in ‘revealing’ clothes. The school authorities wanted to ‘keep the kids safe.’
The move did not only angered the girls but a group of boys also didn't take it as well. These boys attended the school in off shoulders tops as a mark of protest.
Several instances that happen all around the globe are enough to prove that there is still a long way to go.
