Third suspect arrested in London terror attack
A 25-year-old man, third suspect of the Parsons Green station terror attack has been arrested by the police under the Terrorism Act in Newport, Wales on 19 September.
"The 25-year-old man was arrested under section 41 of the Terrorism Act at approximately 7.08 pm at an address in Newport". said Scotland Yard spokesperson.
The third arrest comes after a homemade bomb partially exploded at Parson Green tube station in west London on Friday, injuring atleast 29 people.
Earlier, A 21-year-old man was arrested in the west London suburb of Hounslow just before midnight on Saturday, the Metropolitan Police force said in a statement.
He was detained under Britain's Terrorism Act and taken to a south London Police Station.
An 18-year-old teenager, an Iraqi refugee was also arrested in the departure area of the port of Dover in connection with the attack on Saturday morning who is suspected of being planted the bomb.
He was arrested by the Kent Police under the Terrorism Act and remains in London police' custody.
It was a "significant arrest" as the investigation continues, The Guardian quoted a statement of Deputy Assistant Commissioner Neil Basu, the senior national coordinator for counter-terrorism policing.
