Death toll from Sri Lanka's eight explosions rises to 207; 450 injured, seven people arrested
Hours after six blasts struck Sri Lanka's Colombo on Sunday Easter killed over 207 people, leaving over 450 injured, new blast rocks Sri Lankan capital. Seven suspect have been arrested.
Two killed in the seventh last that occurred on Sunday afternoon. The new blast has been reported from hotel in Colombo.
Multiple blasts occurred at--- three churches and five-star hotels at around 8.45 am (local time) as Easter Sunday masses were in progress.
The first blasts were reported at St Anthony's Church in Colombo and St Sebastian's in the town of Negombo just outside the capital. The other locations were explosion took place is Hotel Shangri La, Cinnamon Grand and Kingsbury hotel.
The flight operations to Bandaranaike International Airport in Colombo have been suspended as the airport has been temporarily shut following serial explosions across Colombo.
