Masood Azhar is alive: Family rejects death reports of Jaish chief, claims Pak media

Death reports of Jaish-e-Mohammed chief Masood Azhar has created a buzz on the Indian media platform, hours after the death rumours doing the round, family members of Jaish chief have rejected reports of his death and said he is alive, Pakistani media claimed.

As per the reports of Geo Urdu news has claimed that sources close to the family of Masood Azhar confirmed that he is alive and rejected all the news about his death. Moreover, the channel didn’t disclose about his health condition but clearly mentioned that terror outfit chief is ‘alive’.

Meanwhile, the Pakistani government has muted so far. Earlier, Pakistani Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has said that Jaish-e-Mohammed was not well and was undergoing treatment.

As per the reports of PTI, Federal Minister Fawad Chaudhary said, ‘I don't know anything at this moment,’ when questioned about the media reports claiming the death of Masood Azhar.

 

Since Sunday, there were speculations doing the round in the Indian media and highly on social media, where #MasoodAzharDEAD has become the trending hashtag on Twitter throughout the day.

Without any confirmation, media reports were claiming about the death of the Jaish leader. While some media also speculated that Masood Azhar was killed during the Indian Air Force air strikes on 26th February at the Balakot terror camp of Jaish.

However, the Jaish-e-Mohammed also claimed the responsibility of the Pulwama terror attack, which killed 40 CRPF jawans when a suicide bomber rammed his explosive-laden vehicle into a convoy on 14th February.

Days after the attack, Indian Air Force dropped 1000 kgs bomb on the terror camps of Jaish across Line of Control (LoC) in Pakistan’s Balakot on 26th February.
