The results of the Uttar Pradesh civic polls are an eye opener for everyone, according to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday.

His statement comes after the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) was poised to shine in the civic polls after the initial results and trends.

Addressing a press conference here, Adityanath said, "This election is to make us responsible. This poll is an eye opener for everyone, including those who were linking UP civic polls with Gujarat Assembly polls."

2- Ryan School murder: Plea seeking Pinto family's bail cancellation adjourned

The Supreme Court on Friday adjourned the hearing on cancellation of bail granted to Pinto family for Monday.

The High Court had, on November 21, granted an anticipatory bail to the Pinto family, in connection with the case.

Justice Surender Gupta, however, barred them from leaving the country without permission and directed the family to extend their help in the investigation.

3- PM Modi meets Barack Obama

Former United States president Barack Obama met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi on Friday.

Prime Minister Modi took to Twitter to inform about meeting the former president.

"It was a pleasure to meet, once again, former President @BarackObama, and learn about the new initiatives being taken forward under his leadership at the @ObamaFoundation and his perspectives on further strengthening India-US strategic partnership," Modi tweeted.
