Man turns abandoned plane into magical dream house
While each one of us has our own set of fantasies, the dream of leaving in our ‘dream house’ makes it to the bucket list of a majority. We tend to follow the mantra ‘dream big’ while in reality there are actually a few who act to achieve the feat.
When we talk about the house of our dreams, the first thought that comes up is that of a house with an incredible view, glass interiors and lavish furniture to name some. However, there is a certain class of people who beg to think differently!
Introducing Bruce Campbell- a member of the Aircraft Fleet Recycling Association (AFRA). Campbell used discarded Boeing 727 differently rather than flying in it. The genius transformed the beast into an unearthly abode!
Two decades of hard work and an extraordinary sense of creativity was all it took for Campbell to transform this abandoned vehicle into his home. Located in the woods of Japan, Bruce bought the beast for $100,000 (approx ₹ 65 lakh) and made use of every little place he had in it. Equipped with water, electricity, and sewage plus 1,066 square-feet of interior space, Campbell’s airplane home is pretty plush for all its eccentricities. It has a Custom Built Shower, two restrooms, wings serving as the deck and the cockpit turned into a cozy reading room. What more do you need?
AFRA a group of people who invest their artistic skills to metamorphose retired planes into homes and creative hubs, basically something worth! Campbell is happy to offer tours of his airplane in the woods. One need merely contact him via his website to schedule a time.
