Sony Sab actor Manmeet Grewal commits suicide over financial issues
Manmeet Grewal who has worked in shows such as Aadat Se Majboor (Sab TV) and Kuldeepak (&TV) committed suicide by hanging himself from the ceiling on 15th May, Friday night. As per reports the actor who lived with his wife in a small rented flat in Navi Mumbai was suffering from depression because his income came to a standstill due to the coronavirus lockdown.
Manmeet’s friend and producer Manjit Singh Rajput revealed that the actor was going through a financial issue and was also debt-ridden. Since lockdown came into being all his shoots came to a halt leaving him with no money. He also not able to pay the rent of the flat and was not able to repay the borrowed money as well.

He further went on to reveal that Manmeet’s wife was the first one to spot the body, she requested the people in her neighbourhood to cut the dupatta in her husband’s neck but no one came to her help as they were afraid of COVID-19 infection. Even, police and the doctor who arrived the spot after a while didn’t bring down the body hanging from the ceiling. About an hour later, the guard of the society helped his wife in bringing down Manmeet’s body by cutting down the dupatta.

Manjit while extending his condolence to Manmeet’s family added he was also a faculty member at acting schools and was also working on a web series.
