Smriti Irani, on her birthday gets a special surprise from Ekta Kapoor, her best friend from Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi!

Smriti Irani is one such person who before joining politics had already won the hearts of many through her character of Tulsi Virani which she played in Ekta Kapoor's popular soap opera 'Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi' that telecasted on Star Plus. She rule most part of the decade of the year 2000 and became a household name then. Soon the show ended and she became a part of the Indian Politics by joining the Bharatiya Janata Party in the year 2003.

Inspite of becoming the textile minister and the member of Parliament, she did not forget her roots and the friends that she made during the course of her acting career and one such person who has played a crucial part in her life has been Ekta, who happens to be one of her close friend. As Smriti is celebrating her 43rd birthday today, Ekta has something special to say to her.

Ekta took to her Instagram account to share a picture with her with a heartfelt post that read as, "To my soul sister! Ur one of d loveliest ppl I know ! Also I love ur wicked sense of humour!!! ;) maasi happie bday we wait for u in bby after ur hectic months of elections n campaigning!! Lots of love duaaas n wishes from ravioli n me."
