Shocking! Raj Kumar Kapoor, director of Shah Rukh Khan's TV Show Fauji passes away
Bollywood's ace actor Shah Rukh Khan made his acting debut through the show Fauji that telecasted on Doordarshan at that time. Shockingly, the director of the show Raj Kumar Kapoor, who was 87 passed away and the sad news was given by her daughter Ritambhara who told IANS, "My father died at 10.10 p.m. yesterday. He was in a hospital for sometime, but his death was very sudden. He was otherwise in good health... He went quite peacefully."
Fauji was one of the popular shows of the 1988 and the director was well known for it. His demise was definitely a shocking news for everyone. It was reported that his cremation took place at the Lodhi Crematorium, Delhi at 3:30 pm, yesterday. Also, his son took to social media to write a post for his dad which read, "This is to inform you that our beloved Dad, Raj Kumar Kapoor (Colonel), has left his earthly body to go on a brand new adventure."

The show directed by Kapoor was about the army training school where the commandoes got their lessons and it was a great platform for the actor to begin his career with. The director, in the book SRK 25 Years Of A Life by Samar Khan and Sonali Kokra, gave an anecdote and called SRK a 'hard-working guy.' He even said, "I still remember the sleek boy from Delhi's Gautam Nagar, who had come to my place. I loved his confidence and called him for an audition. He arrived with the other boys for the audition. Because the show was about Commandos, I made everyone run with me."
