Ishqbaaaz: This Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi actor to join the cast as Anika's brother Sahil; is Surbhi Chandna on board?
Star Plus has one of the popular daily soaps going on these days and yes we are talking about none other than Ishqbaaaz. The show has always been under the limelight either for its cast or for the twists and turns that the makers have planned for the show. Yet again, the show captured everyone's attention when the exit of one of the leading ladies Manjiri Pupala was announced and now a new name has been attached to the show and you'll be surprised to know who he is.
None other than Amar Upadhyay who is also popularly known as Mihir from the cult daily soap Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi is soon going to become a part of the show. He will be seen playing the role of Sahil who happens to be Anika aka Surbhi Chandna's brother and also Shivaansh's (Nakuul Mehta) uncle. In the show, before the leap, the character was played by child artist Aryan Prajapati who was loved by all.
Further, the character of Saahil will turn negative in the show. Amar confirmed the news to a leading daily and said, "Yes, I will play the grown-up Sahil. It will be a grey character. I am excited about collaborating with Gul Khan (producer) after several years. She directed me on 'Saathiya – Pyar Ka Naya Ehsaas', and it was amazing to work with someone like her. We have been friends since then, and we were very keen to collaborate again. I am glad that it's finally happening and that too, on a good show. The fact that Gul presents her characters in a grand fashion became one of the primary reasons for me to take up this show. Presenting an artiste well is paramount, irrespective of the medium, and Gul is an expert at that."

Further he said, "I have been watching the show for the last two weeks. That's when I was approached for the part and it was important to understand the world of the character and the story. The deal materialised in a matter of a day or so, and I will start shooting today. Since the character has been a part of the show, I am sure the audience will relate to the change instantly."
We have already seen Amar in various TV shows like Kasautii Zindagii Kay, Kkusum, Sapna Babul Ka...Bidaai, Bigg Boss 5, Saath Nibhaana Saathiya among others and was last seen in Sony TV's Ek Deewaana Tha.
