JioPhone Next: Launch date, expected price, features; important details about Reliance’s affordable Android phone
Mukesh Ambani, Chairman, and Managing Director, Reliance Industries Limited on June 24, has announced the highly-anticipated JioPhone Next at the 44th Annual General Meeting 2021.
Reliance’s new upcoming phone will be the most affordable 4G smartphone in the Indian market. Jio users will get the 4G access at a minimum price.
However, Jio had already launched a series of features phones, including the JioPhone and JioPhone 2.
For JioPhone Next, Reliance Jio has partnered with Google. However, Reliance Jio is yet to announce the price of its smartphone but revealed the launch date.
During the Annual General Meeting, Mukesh Ambani announced that Reliance Jio’s upcoming phone will be launched on the auspicious occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi on September 10.
“JioPhone Next is a fully-featured smartphone, supporting the entire suite of applications from both Google and Jio, as well as the Android Play Store through which users will have access to the entire universe of Android Apps,” Ambani said while announcing the newest JioPhone.
Ambani promised that JioPhone Next will be the most affordable smartphone not just in India, but globally. Users will get access to key Android services, including the Google Play Store.

After looking at the design of the phone, expectations have been made that the JioPhone Next can be priced under Rs 5000.
JioPhone Next: Features and specification
Reliance has not shared any details about specs. By looking at the phone, it could have a 5-inch LCD with thick bezels around the corner. Also, a single-camera sensor can be spotted at the centre of the rear panel with an LED flashlight.
Two buttons on the right side of the phone are also visible, which is presumably the power button and the other is the volume rocker.
Talking about the phone, Sundar Pichai assured users that the phone will be launched with support for Android updates. The phone will comprise voice-first features that allow users to consume content and navigate the phone in their language.
Through the voice assistants feature, users can also know weather updates, scores, and other exciting details.
