Low on budget! Google is coming with a smartphone priced at just Rs 3000

Google has announced that it is going to launch its first smartphone running on the latest Android Oreo (Go edition). Google has not yet announced the name of its products but has mentioned about the price of the devices. The smartphone will be priced somewhere around INR 3,000, making it arguably the cheapest smartphone available in the market.

Android Oreo(Go edition) is the latest version of the operating system that has been specially designed keeping in mind the low-end hardware phones. The Go edition of the Android Oreo ships with optimized default apps and an optimized version of Google play store that highlights lightweight apps.

The announcement is especially significant for large-scale markets like India. Just like the Android One program of Google, which especially focuses on the mid-range segment phones, Xiaomi's Mi A1 being the most famous example of this version. At the Mobile World Congress next week, Google is speculated to announce more Android One devices.

Google is planning to take its Android OS to more users in the coming times. Company's Android Go and Android One are the part of its plan to give a more unified user experience to its consumers, especially in the inexpensive smartphones. Google has mentioned that some of its devices running on the Android Go OS with 1GB or lesser RAM could be priced around 50$. The devices are reported to come with 8GBs of Internal memory.

The devices will be optimized to work with lighter versions of apps that will serve the user with better user experience at a low budget price without compromising with device performance. It will all be possible by the lightweight OS which can run on 1GB of RAM.
