Vande Bharat Express to Cover Agra and Udaipur in Just a Few Hours

Ajmer: In a significant development, the Vande Bharat Express will now connect Sawaimadhopur to Agra and Udaipur, reducing the travel time to just a few hours. This move is expected to boost tourism in the region, allowing tourists to visit Ranthambore Tiger Reserve, Taj Mahal, and the lake city of Udaipur in a single trip.

According to the Railway Board's order, the Vande Bharat Express train will operate from Udaipur to Agra Fort, with stops at select stations, including Sawaimadhopur. This new circuit is expected to benefit both domestic and international tourists.

The Vande Bharat Express train will operate three days a week, on Monday, Thursday, and Saturday.

The journey from Udaipur to Agra will take approximately 8 hours and 45 minutes, while the journey from Sawaimadhopur to Agra will take just 5 hours and 12 minutes. The journey from Udaipur will be completed in a mere 3 hours and 25 minutes.

The train will depart from Udaipur at 5:45 am and will stop at Rana Pratap Nagar Station, Mavli Junction, Berach, Chanderiya, Kota, and finally Sawaimadhopur at 11:03 am. From there, it will proceed to Gangapur City, Bayana, and finally reach Agra Fort at 2:30 pm.

A New Tourism Circuit

This new train route is expected to create a new tourism circuit, benefiting the local economy. Tourists visiting the Taj Mahal can now easily plan a trip to Ranthambore and Udaipur, and those visiting Udaipur can also explore Kota, which is on the same route.

With the introduction of the Vande Bharat Express, the region is expected to see a significant increase in tourist footfall, boosting the local economy and creating new opportunities for the people of Sawaimadhopur and surrounding areas.
