Special Train to Run Between Santaragachi and Ajmer During Festival Season

Bundi: The railway administration has decided to run a special train between Santaragachi and Ajmer from September 30 to facilitate passengers during the festive season. This train will provide relief to passengers during the busy festival season.

The special train numbered 08611, will depart from Santaragachi every Monday at 9:20 pm and reach Ajmer at 3:00 pm the next day, with stops at Bundi and Mandlagarh stations. The train will consist of 20 coaches, including 2 AC III tier, 12 sleepers, 4 general, and 2 SLR coaches.

On its return journey, the train numbered 08612 will depart from Ajmer at 11:40 pm and reach Santaragachi at 2:20 pm the next day, with stops at Mandlagarh, Bundi, and other stations.

This special train will stop at various stations, including Kharagpur, Tatanagar, Chandil, Muri, Ranchi, Lohardaga, Tori, Barwadih, Daltonganj, Garhwa Road, Renukoot, Chopan, Singrauli, Bargawan, Sarai Gram, Bhyohari, Khanna Banjari, Katni Murwara, Damoh, Sagar, Bina Malkhedi, Ashoknagar, Gunna, and Roothiyai, among others.

According to Senior Divisional Commercial Manager and Public Relations Officer, Kota, Rohit Malviya, the special train has been introduced to facilitate passengers during the festive season. Passengers can get information about the train's schedule and availability of seats at stations, NTES, Rail Madad 139, or online, and plan their journey accordingly.

This special train will provide much-needed relief to passengers during the busy festival season and is expected to be a boon for those travelling between Santaragachi and Ajmer.
