Nagaur District Dominates State-Level Under-23 Athletics Competition, Wins 12 Medals
Nagaur (Rajasthan): In a remarkable display of athletic prowess, Nagaur district has emerged as a dominant force in the state-level Under-23 athletics competition held in Jhunjhunu. The district's athletes brought home a total of 12 medals, comprising 2 gold, 4 silver, and 6 bronze medals.
According to Hari Ram Chaudhary, patron of the State-Level Athletics Association, Nagaur district's athletes have made a significant impact in the competition. Sushila Prajapat and Chuki Birda won gold medals in the 5000-meter run and pole vault events, respectively. Santosh Isharava, Pooja Prajapat, and Narendra Gurjar secured silver medals in the 800-meter run, long jump, and pole vault events, respectively.
Furthermore, Sushila Prajapat, Khushbu, Sarita Khileri, Rajendra Naradhaniya, Usha, and Pooja Prajapat won bronze medals in various events, including the 10,000-meter run, 800-meter run, 400-meter hurdles, 20-kilometer walk, 400-meter run, and triple jump, respectively.
The winning athletes were felicitated upon their return to the district, with Hari Ram Chaudhary and other dignitaries honoring them for their outstanding achievements.
