Liquor Worth ₹1.47 Crore Destroyed in Major Anand Operation
Anand: In a significant operation, the police department in Anand destroyed liquor worth ₹1.47 crore in various police stations across the city. The seized liquor, amounting to 85,153 bottles, was crushed under a roller in Bedwa on Friday.
According to information, the Anand city police station had registered 43 cases and seized 4,777 bottles of liquor worth ₹8,42,500. Similarly, the Anand rural police station had registered 18 cases and seized 16,847 bottles of liquor worth ₹37,12,140. The Vidyanager police station had registered 28 cases and seized 1,146 bottles of liquor worth ₹2,01,220.
Meanwhile, the Vasad police station had registered 18 cases and seized 57,675 bottles of liquor worth ₹94,00,758. The Khambholj police station had registered 20 cases and seized 3,049 bottles of liquor worth ₹3,78,300. The Umreth police station had registered 8 cases and seized 422 bottles of liquor worth ₹52,100.
The Bhalej police station had registered 11 cases and seized 1,033 bottles of liquor worth ₹1,09,700. The Anand railway police station had registered 15 cases and seized 204 bottles of liquor worth ₹78,855.
In total, the Anand division had registered 161 cases and seized 85,153 bottles of liquor worth ₹1,47,47,383. Police officers and personnel were present during the destruction of the liquor.
