Yudh Abhyas: Watch soldiers hold ‘rock concert’ in Himalayas amid Indo-US joint military exercise
A video of Indian and American soldiers having a good time during the now concluded Indo-US annual joint exercise ‘Yudh Abhyas’ is getting all the praise on the internet. The US Army’s 11th Airborne Division on December 4 shared a video showing soldiers of both sides in a ‘rock-on’ mode as they gave a musical twist to a tough exercise that concluded yesterday in Uttarakhand’s Auli.
In the 20-second-video, soldiers can be seen having a good time. Soldiers of both armies can be seen trying their hands in different musical instruments such as guitar, drums etc.
The US Army's 11th Airborne Division shared the video with the caption, “Spontaneous rock concerts in the Himalayas with our Commanding General on lead guitar? All in a day’s work for the Arctic Angels.”

A joint bilateral exercise between India and the US, known as Yudh Abhyas, alternates annually between the two countries. The 18th edition of the tough exercise started on November 19, in which troops of both sides jointly conducted mock humanitarian drills and disaster relief (HADR) ops, as well as medical aid and evacuations under combat conditions, and unarmed fighting skills, among other skills.
“Our commitment to the Indo-Pacific region improves interoperability, and takes the US-India Defence Partnership to new heights,” the US Embassy in India tweeted yesterday on the successful completion of the exercise.
In this edition, Yudh Abhiyas, Indian Army soldiers from the Assam Regiment and US army soldiers of the 2nd Brigade of the 11th Airborne Division took part in the training.
