Viral Video: Hippo attacks three lions crossing river; what happens next?

The jungle is a very ruthless place, and 'survival of the fittest' is the only law that applies there. Predators are in hunt mode all the time, so little animals have to be tough to fight and survive, as shown in the clip below.

It is also said that jungles are unpredictable, and anything can happen there. Within no time, predators can become prey.

In a similar incident, a hippopotamus attacked three lions when they came into its territory.

The clip shows three full-grown lions crossing a river when a hippo spots them and starts to chase them. The ferocious hippo runs towards the lions, attacks them, and fights them off from the river, which is its territory. The lions can be seen running away and not attacking the mammal.

Although hippopotamuses are considered calm and peace-loving animals, they also have big jaws and teeth to fight against any animal that threatens them. They become aggressive, especially when intruders show up in the stretch of water that they are occupying.

The undated clip was shared on Twitter by an account named @clipsthatgohard with the caption, “hippo attacks 3 lions crossing river”.

Since being shared, the 1.12-minute clip has racked up over 107,000 views and more than 600 likes. Viewers praised the bravery of the hippo for charging at three lions.
