Man jumps into moving car and saves it from crashing, incredible episode caught on cam [Watch]
A man displayed utmost courage after he tried to stop a car from crashing by jumping into it while it was on the move. A CCTV camera has captured the whole episode.
The video begins with a woman casually walking down the sidewalk of the empty road. However, seconds later, two men hurriedly run across the road. The next moment, a black sedan appears to roll downhill at a T-point with no one behind the wheel.
One of the passer-by notices how the diverless vehicle was about to crash into someone's house. This is when he used his quick thinking, ran towards the car and jumped inside the car to pull the handbrake.
With his legs still out of the car’s window, the man is able to bring the car to a halt and save it from a crash. Fortunately, there were no other cars to hit at the junction and everyone visible on the CCTV footage appears to be safe.
The video was first posted to Reddit's r/BeAmazed group. Many have commended the guy for his quick thinking.
One person wrote, "Not gonna lie... dudes a bad ass," while another who claimed to have their own experience of chasing down a runaway car said bringing the vehicle to a halt would have been 'far harder than it looks'.
Another person said, "Jesus that was really dangerous. I assume he hit the handbrake by how the car stopped (skidding), and it's not always where you think it is on some cars. Had this been a Mercedes for example and the guy didn't know about it the outcome would have been different."
