The Kolkata Rainbow Pride Walk—the oldest LGBTQ annual pride walk in Asia—was held on the streets of Kolkata on December 18, two years after the COVID-19 pandemic break. Thousands of participants joined the last pride walk of this year, weaving LGBTQ flags (Pride Flags) and wearing colourful facemasks.
The grand Pride Walk started at Kolkata’s Park Circus Maidan and went to Mayo Road through Park Street. The entire Park Street was decorated with flags and posters to welcome the participants.
The Pride Walk was all about spreading love and freedom to love, going beyond sexual identity. The participants were seen donning bright-coloured outfits and spreading the message of love.
