Veeramadevi: Sunny Leone's historical magnum opus gets a title, story details revealed
It's known that Bollywood actress Sunny Leone is all set to make her South film debut in a full fledged role in Telugu filmmaker VC Vadivudaiyan's upcoming film. Produced by Ponse Stephen, the actress will be seen portraying the role of a warrior princess in the film, which is a Telugu-Tamil bilingual.
And now, the makers have announced the Tamil and Telugu titles of the film as Veeramadevi and Veeramahadevi.
Sunny Leone took to her Twitter account to reveal the Tamil title of the film.
"Hey folks... The wait is over...The title of my much awaited Tamil film is #Veeramadevi Historical magnum opus. I am so so excited :p @vcvadivudaiyan @DoneChannel1 #SunnyLeoneInsouth ", Sunny Leone tweeted.
She also added a video stating that “I am thrilled to be part of the project and I am looking forward to start shooting for it soon.”
Meanwhile VC Vadivudaiyan shared an interesting update about his film.
"Veeramadevi was a popular warrior who lived in the south decades ago. Sunny, who has given us a call sheet for 150 days, is getting trained in martial arts, sword fighting and horse riding by a trainer from Mumbai. We'll start shooting in January. For the subsequent schedules, we will be constructing grand sets. Sunny is quite excited about the film as she has never played a warrior before. She's seen as a strong, independent woman in the film, and that's one of the reasons why she signed up."
Veeramadevi, which is said to have 70 minutes of CG work, will get released in five languages -- Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi. The film will be shot across Kerala, Hyderabad and Chennai and will start rolling from January 2018.
