Tamil Nadu State Film Awards : Prithviraj Sukumaran bags Best Villain recognition for Kaaviya Thalaivan
After bagging three Kerala state film awards for Malayalam films Vasthavam, Indian Rupee and Ayalum Njanum Thammil, actor Prithviraj Sukumaran has now bagged yet another state film award, but this time for a Tamil film. He has bagged the best villain recognition at Tamil Nadu State Film Awards for his performance in Kaaviya Thalaivan. The film starred Siddharth and Vedhika in lead roles.
Prithviraj portrayed the role of Gomathi Nayagam Pillai in Kaaviya Thalaivan, directed by Vasantha Balan. This is his first Tamil Nadu state film awards and the first award for a negative role. Prithviraj made his Tamil film debut as a villain in the 2005 film Kana Kandaen. The young superstar was last seen as villain in a Bollywood release, Taapsee Pannu - Akshay Kumar starrer Naam Shabana.
Prithviraj took to his Facebook page to express his happiness;
