Subedar Joginder Singh: First look of Gippy Grewal revealed; see pictures

Wars and period dramas have become a trend in the entertainment industry. Not even Bollywood industry, Punjabi cinema too have started following the path and that is the reason why the makers announced a biopic on Param Vir Chakra recipient Subedar Joginder Singh.

Popular Punjabi actor-singer, Gippy Grewal, will be playing the lead role of the martyr and opposite him will be actress Aditi Sharma. The movie is titled as Subedar Joginder Singh and the plot of the film will revolve around the life of the fighter who while protecting his country during the Sino-Indo war of 1962, lost his life.

Earlier today, the first look of the actor was revealed in which the actor looked quite intense. The pictures were shared by the Trade Analyst, Taran Adarsh, on his Twitter account. Check out his pictures here:

A few days back, the youngest daughter of the martyr, Smt. Kulwant Kaur, lead out her warmest wishes to the makers of the film and said, “Subedar Joginder Singh is a dream debut for me. Dream because it will bring someone’s dream into reality. Wait of a daughter who lost her father in the line of duty 55 years ago, will come to an end.”

How endlessly she must have waited for that one glimpse of her father, which she never could see!

Subedar Joginder Singh is the first film on the PVC awardee and is produced by Sumeet Singh of Unisys Infosolutions and Saga Music and directed by imarjit Singh. Apart from Gippy Grewal, Kulwinder Billa, Roshan Prince and Guggu Gill will also be there in pivotal roles.
