Rajinikanth to do his last film with this director, here are the details
Year 2018 is all set to be an eventful film for superstar Rajinikanth. The legendary actor will have two major films lined up for release, Shankar's 2.0 with Akshay Kumar and PA Ranjith's Kaala, to be produced by his son-in-law and actor Dhanush. Thalaivar also confirmed his political entry as well.
Ever since Rajinikanth announced his political entry, many media reported that Kaala will be the final film of his acting career.
However, the latest reports suggest that Rajinikanth will work with PA Ranjith for the third time after Kabali and Kaala, which will be the actor's last film of his 43-year-long acting career. The film, which is tipped to be a political drama will see Rajinikanth in a powerful role is slated to go on floors in the second half of 2018.
“Rajini sir and Ranjith have held discussions for a new project, a political flick which will be the perfect send off to his acting career. Kaala was supposed to be Rajini sir’s last film but he felt he needed to do something that leaves a lasting impact on the audience. It was Ranjith’s idea to do a political film that’ll be packed with ideologies Rajini sir swears by. The regular shooting is expected to commence from this year-end,” a source close to the film said.
