Seems like making films on biopics are the current trends among the Indian filmmakers. After Akshay Kumar's upcoming film Gold, another biopic is all set to be made in Hindi and Telugu soon.

If Telugu media reports are to be believed none other than Prabhas and Sudheer Babu are among the top contenders to play the bio pic of legendary badminton player Pullela Gopichand. Since the film is said to be a Hindi - Telugu bilingual, it will revolve about the personal and professional life of the former badminton player, who is also the current coach of badminton player PV Sindhu.

“Prabhas is the biggest star the country currently has and the makers are keen to cast him. Given that the actor is currently filming Saaho, he is yet to take a call on this outing,” said the source to a leading Indian daily.

Interestingly, Sudheer Babu's name is also doing the rounds on social media as the lead actor to play Gopichand biopic. Also, it has to be noted that there was a time when Sudheer has also played alongside Gopichand and ranked first in Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka. 

The untitled film will start rolling in mid-2018.
