Not Akshay Kumar or Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan to reprise Vijay Sethupathi's role in Vikram Vedha's Hindi remake, confirms R Madhavan
Tamil film Vikram Vedha is considered as one of the recent finest thriller films to come out in India. Directed by husband-wife duo Pushkar and Gayathri, the film opened to extremely good reviews upon its theatrical release on July 21 2017. Vikram Vedha starred two of the best acting talents of Tamil cinema in lead roles, R Madhavan and Vijay Sethupathi.
Vikram Vedha tells the story of a honest police officer Vikram and a wanted gangster named Vedha. While R Madhavan essayed the role of Vikram, Vijay Sethupathi portrayed the role of Vedha. The content of the thriller was so strong that it eventually turned out to be the biggest Tamil blockbuster of 2017.
Catch had previously reported that Pushkar - Gayathri duo and national award winning filmmaker Neeraj Pandey have teamed up to remake Vikram Vedha in Hindi.
Earlier, names of superstars Akshay Kumar and Salman Khan were circulated to reprise Vijay Sethupathi's role in the Hindi remake of Vikram Vedha.
However, according to the latest Tamil media reports, none other than Shah Rukh Khan has been finalized to portray the role of Vijay Sethupathi in it's Bollywood remake.
Popular South film critic Sreedhar Pillai took to his Twitter account to reveal SRK's name in his tweet to R Madhavan, who's currently on rest due to a shoulder injury.
"Praying for speedy recovery so that he can play the role he made memorable in @PushkarGayatri’s #VikramVedha’s Hindi remake opposite @iamsrk.", Sreedhar Pillai tweeted to R Madhavan.
R Madhavan wasted no time to thank the film critic for his wish.
"You are very kind sir . Thank you so much", Madhavan tweeted to Sreedhar Pillai.
Did R Madhavan just confirm King Khan will be a part of Vikram Vedha's Hindi remake? An official confirmation is expected to be announced soon.
