The much awaited teaser of Thalapathy Vijay film Mersal released a few minutes ago. Directed by Atlee, the film is said to be the 100th film of Sri Thenandal Films. Tipped to be an action-thriller, Mersal stars Kajal Aggarwal, Samantha and Nithy Menen in the female leads.

As promised by the makers, the teaser released exactly at 6:00 PM itself. The teaser was released as a birthday gift to Atlee, who celebrates his birthday on 21 September.

The one-minute and fifteen-second long teaser concentrates only on the Tamil superstar without revealing much of the story or any other star cast. As speculated, Vijay is seen donning triple roles in the film with different get ups and will definitely satisfy the mass and class audience alike. The teaser also features stunning locations and excellent BG score and music composed by none another than AR Rahman. Going by the teaser, Mersal looks like a perfect Diwali gift for the Thalapathy fans.

The story of Mersal has been written by KV Vijayendra Prasad of Baahubali and Bajrangi Bhaijaan fame and from the teaser, the Atlee film looks like a fresh story with universal appeal.
