Mahesh Babu's SPYder is heading towards a disaster even after minting Rs 100 crore in 6 days, why?
Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu's action thriller SPYder has crossed the coveted the Rs. 100 crore mark at the Box Office worldwide. The film, directed by hit maker AR Murugadoss, was released on 27 September. SPYder took only 6-theatrical days to cross the century mark at the Box Office.
But, the alarming factor for the makers is that SPYder is heading towards a disaster at the Box Office.
SPYder was expected to take a Rs. 50 crore plus on its opening day at the Box Office worldwide, but the film had managed to rake in only Rs. 41 crore at the Box Office. But the film registered a massive drop in its next two days taking its 3-day total to Rs. 75 crore worldwide. By the end of its 7 theatrical days, SPYder had minted Rs. 102 crore at the Box Office worldwide.
However, not many are aware that Spyder, a Tamil-Telugu bilingual was being made for a whopping budget of Rs. 120 crore. Also, the all India distribution rights of the AR Murugadoss film was sold for a huge bomb, Rs. 102 crore.
Looks like another disaster on the cards for the Tollywood Prince after Brahmotsavam.
