Kamal Haasan says Prime Minster Narendra Modi should not be stubborn and accept his mistake, but why?
Indian legendary actor Kamal Haasan, who has announced his plans to enter politics, apologised on Wednesday for supporting Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi's sudden implementation to ban high-denomination notes in November last year. The Tamil superstar also urged Narendra Modi to accept his mistake.
In a recent interview to a Tamil magazine, Kamal Haasan stated that accepting mistakes and rectifying them is a sign of statesmanship which Mahatma Gandhi was able to do. He also added that Narendra Modi should not be stubborn in arguing that the rabbit he had caught has three legs. He went on to say that demonetisation was good but the manner in which it was implemented was wrong.
"If the PM accepts his mistake, my second salute awaits him", Kamal Haasan said.
