The release date of Telugu actor Jr.NTR's upcoming release, Jai Lava Kusa has been announced. The action thriller, directed by Bobby has been produced by Nandamuri Kalyan Ram under his home production Nandamuri Arts. Jai Lava Kusa stars Raashi Khanna and Malayalam actress Nivetha Thomas of Gentleman fame in the female leads.

Jai Lava Kusa was earlier scheduled to release in August as Independence weekend release, however the makers have now decided to release the film on September 21, during the occasion of Dusshera. It's a strange decision from the makers as another Telugu film, SPYder featuring Mahesh Babu is slated to release on September 22. The makers also announced the teaser release date of Jai Lava Kusa as July 5.

Interestingly, Jr.NTR is portraying triple roles in the film as Jai, Lava and Kusa. Reportedly, the budget of Jai Lava Kusa is similar to the Telugu superstar's previous hit film, Janatha Garage.
