"Being from North India, I always thought it would be tough working in Malayalam film industry. Though I have done many commercial ads and music albums here in North, I always wanted to work down South. Luckily, I had the opportunity to work with Malayalam superstar Mohanlal sir and director Priyadarshan sir for the advertisement of Lloyd brand. I was excited and at the same time was nervous to share the screen with such a huge star, but he is such a humble person that he made me feel comfortable to do the ad with confidence. I don't understand the Malayalam language. But his advice and care inspired me to realize that languages have no barrier when it comes to acting. I thank Major Ravi sir for this golden opportunity and to my co-actor Arunodhay Singh, and whole team of 1971 Beyond Borders for the extended support".
Priyanka also revealed her experience as Paksitani girl Ameerah in the film.
"I'm playing one of the main female lead characters in 1971 Beyond Borders. I'm portraying the role of a Pakistani girl Ameerah, the wife of Lieutenant Colonel Rana Sharif, played by Arunodhay Singh in the film. You can see me playing dual characters in the film, as young girl Ameerah and as her 65-year old avatar. I really enjoyed working in South films. I want to do more South films as they really have strong scripts and good technicians. I'm getting few offers post the release. But I'm looking for interesting scripts and performance oriented roles, Priyanka told Catch.
Priyanka also added that she is soon to make her Bollywood debut as well.
"I'm also making my Bollywood debut, which will be bankrolled by Eros International. The film will starts rolling in September 2017.
