Thalapathy Vijay's Mersal is nearing one month of its successful theatrical run, but the film is still creating records at the Box Office. The action-entertainer, which starred the Tamil superstar in triple roles, emerged as the all time top Tamil opener upon its release day at the UAE Box Office. Directed by Atlee, Mersal is touted to be the 100th production venture of Sri Thenandal Films.

On its fourth weekend, Mersal was rock steady across the cinemas of UAE. In fact, the Thalapathy Vijay starrer emerged as the all-time second blockbuster at the Chennai Box Office. Mersal also crossed the lifetime collection of Rajinikanth blockbusters Enthiran and Kabali to do the same. The total Chennai collections of Mersal now stand at a whopping Rs. 13 crore and is only next to SS Rajamouli, Prabhas blockbuster Baahubali 2 in the list of all-time Chennai top grossers.

Mersal also starred Samantha, Kajal Aggarwal and Nithya Menen in female lead roles.
