Baahubali 2 beats this Salman Khan hit to set the biggest TV rating of all time
It's known that the Hindi dubbed version of SS Rajamouli blockbuster emerged as the first film to cross the Rs 500 crore mark at the Bollywood Box Office. The war-drama, which had been distributed by Bollywood director-producer Karan Johar in North India, had shattered all the existing Bollywood records to do so.
After emerging as all-time Bollywood grosser, Baahubali 2 has created another unique record, but this time on small screen.
The world premiere of Baahubali 2 was screened on October 8 and the film continued its strong dominance on television as well. The Prabhas-Anushka Shetty blockbuster has clocked a massive television rating of 2,60,54,000 to become the biggest television premiere of all time. Baahubali 2 surpassed the rating of 2,51,01,000 set by Salman Khan's 2015 Diwali hit Prem Ratan Dhan Payo to do so.
Apart from Prabhas and Anushka Shetty, Baahubali 2 starred Rana Daggubati, Sathyaraj, Nassar and Ramya Krishnan.
