Rajinikanth and Mammootty are considered as two of the biggest superstars of Indian cinema. Both the 66-year old actors started their acting in the late 1970's and are still dominating their respective film industries, Tamil film industry and Malayalam film industry. Fans fondly call Thalaivar for Rajinikanth and Mammookka for Mammootty. The superstar duo had earlier collaborated for the 1991 Maniratnam blockbuster Thalapathi.

And now, after 26 years, both the superstars are all set to team up for another film.

Reportedly, both Rajinikanth and Mammootty will make their Marathi acting debut together in an upcoming Marathi film called Pasaayadan. The film, which marks the directorial debut of Deepak Bhave has been produced by Maharashtra politician Balkrishna Surve.
