Aam Aadmi Party's [AAP] ex-councillor Haseeb-ul-Hasan today climbed a high-tension wire tower in front of Delhi's Shastri Park metro station to protest against the alleged wrong policies of the party. It is alleged that he was not given a ticket to contest the forthcoming Delhi civic body elections and following this, he threatened to commit suicide and climbed the tower.
Former AAP councillor Haseeb ul Hasan is said to be still hanging on the tower.
Aam Aadmi Party put out its first list of 134 candidates for the MCD polls. In the list of 134, 70 women have been given tickets, while former MLA Vijender Garg was been fielded by AAP in the MCD elections from Naraina.
On the other hand, Mukesh Goyal, who came to AAP from Congress, will be in the election fray from the Adarsh Nagar ward. Guddi Devi, a former councillor from the Congress, has been made the candidate from Malkaganj in Timarpur.
