In the midst of the current political crisis in the state of Maharashtra, a banner was seen right outside the residence of Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut in Mumbai on Wednesday. The banner reads,'Your arrogance would last 4 days, our kingship is inherited.'
The banner has images of Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray, Balasaheb Thackeray, Aditya Thackeray, Sanjay Raut and other prominent faces of the party. The banner has been put up by Shiv Sena Corporator Deepmala Badhe, reported ANI.
However, Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut on Wednesday played down the rebellion, saying the party is in talks with rebel Eknath Shinde.
Sanjay Raut added, "Shiv Sena has the capacity to rise from the ashes. Shinde is an old Shiv sainik. We can't leave Shinde and he can't leave us."
"Governor has got Covid. So let’s wait and see the numbers. Eknath Shinde is a Shiv Sainik and communication is on. I had a word with him this morning. There is no problem in Sena and they [rebels] will remain with us," said Sena MP Sanjay Raut. "Shinde is our old friend. Our dialogue is on. We talked for an hour and nothing is being hidden," he said.
"Neither for Eknath Shinde and nor for us it is easy to leave party or to leave him," he added.
A poster of Shiv Sena leaders apparently taking a dig at rebels, including Maharashtra Urban Development Minister Eknath Shinde, has surfaced in the midst of the power tussle in the state.
The development came after Shiv Sena leader Eknath Shinde claimed the support of at least 40 MLAs who are in Guwahati. An editorial piece in Sena mouthpiece 'Saamana' has blamed the Maharashtra political crisis on the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
