Pro Kabaddi League: U Mumba appoints Iranian defender Fazel Atrachali as captain
Pro Kabaddi League season seven will kick-off from July 20th and the first match of the season will be played between U Mumba and Telugu Titans. Bengaluru Bulls was crowned champions for the first time last year after they beat Gujarat Fortune Giants.
Iranian defender Fazel Atrachali is appointed as captain of U Mumba with Sandeep Narwal as its vice-captain.
“I am quite motivated to be selected to lead the U Mumba Kabaddi team. I aim to lead the team towards victory,” Atrachali was quoted as saying in a media release issued here.
“Strategy and discipline are very important and I know that all the players are motivated to give in their best on the field and make a mark for themselves and eventually win the league,” Atrachali added.
Sandeep Narwal who hails from Sonipat, Haryana and will be vice-captaining U Mumba in PKL season 7 said he wants to implement strategies and help his team win matches.
“The use of strategy is very important, in fact, more important than just winning. As vice-captain, I want to implement and practice more strategies to gain control on our movements which will eventually help in winning matches,” Narwal was quoted as saying by News18.
