Commentator Michael Slater insults Ambati Rayudu on air, says something offensive
Ambati Rayudu had a fantastic Indian Premier League season last year as he performed exceptionally well with his bat. But this year has been a total opposite for the right handed batsman as he has not yet found his top gear.
In a second qualifier between Chennai Super Kings and Delhi Capitals, Ambati Rayudu was not connecting the ball well with his bat. During a spell of Axar Patel, Rayudu received a half-tracker which he missed and made a mess of it. Michael Slater commented, “Even my 6-year-old son could have hit this one for a boundary.” Fellow-commentator was quick to respond to the banter, saying: “With a height like yours, your son would surely.”
Chennai Super Kings won the crucial match against Delhi Capitals and will now meet Mumbai Indians in the finals. CSK defeated Delhi by 2 wickets with one over to spare. With this victory CSK have reached their 8th IPL final and will be playing their fourth against Mumbai Indians.
Faf du Plessis and Shane Watson notched up the highest first wicket partnership for CSK this season. They both scored a fluent half-century to build up the base for CSK while Ambati Rayudu with his 20 runs finished the innings for them.
