Amit Shah targets Mamata Banerjee's key slogan; terms TMC 'family party'

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee claims Trinamool Congress (TMC) to be a party of "Ma, Mati, Manush" which represents culture of the State. But Union Home Minister Amit Shah believes TMC under Mamata Banerjee has long forgotten the spirit behind the slogan and now the party has been limited to being a "family party today".

While concluding his two-day visit to West Bengal, Amit Shah on Sunday said because of "appeasement policy and dictatorship TMC is limited to being a family party today".

"Instead of being concerned about the 10 crore people of West Bengal, Mamata Banerjee is concerned about making her nephew (Abhishek Banerjee) the chief minister of West Bengal," he added.

Three Dangerous trends: Amit Shah
The Union Home Minister further stated that three dangerous trends have been set in West Bengal-- complete politicisation of administration, complete criminalisation of politics and institutionalisation of corruption.

No more injustice campaign
Shah further said: "I want to make an earnest request to the people of West Bengal to join forces with BJP's 'Aar noi anyay' (no more injustice) campaign and support Prime Minister Narendra Modi."

"It is BJP's commitment to give a good administration to the people of West Bengal and it will not back down at any time," he added.

Common people being denied benefits: Shah
Shah attacked the TMC government for not passing on the benefits of the Ayushman Bharat Yojana to the common people in West Bengal.

"In the health sector under the Ayushman Bharat Yojana, a ₹5 lakh cover is provided to every poor person in the country. But in West Bengal, this facility has been barred. Is this the way to advocate a federal structure of the constitution?" he said.

Mamata has long been targetting BJP of "being a party of outsiders who has no value for the culture of West-Bengal", but now BJP is attacking the same line accusing TMC of being indulging in activities not beneficial for the welfare of the people of West Bengal.
During his two-day visit Amit Shah kept repeating that "people of the State and TMC leaders are angry with Mamata Banerjee" and this will ultimately help BJP come out victorious in the assembly election to be held mid-2021.
