Weather: Rainfall likely till 27, no heat weaves for 5 days; check full forecast
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted rainfall, thunderstorm, and hailstorm activities over Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, and Rajasthan for today, March 25.
Weather Forecast
According to the IMD, the rainfall and thunderstorm activities in the Northwest India will be decreased from tomorrow as compared to recent days. However, the rainfall, thunderstorm and hailstorm activities will continue in Northwest, East and Central India for the next three days.
Western Disturbance
A western disturbance is seen as a cyclonic circulation over north Pakistan and in adjoining Haryana in thelower tropospheric levels. A trough runs from a cyclonic circulation over northeast Rajasthan to south Assam in the lower tropospheric levels. A trough runs from Bihar to south Karnataka tropospheric levels.
Under these influences, widespread rainfall is expected over J&K, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi and Rajasthan today. Isolated rainfall and thunderstorm is expected over Chhattisgarh, east Madhya Pradesh on March 25 and 26. However, isolated hailstorm is likely over Chhattisgarh on March 26.
Moderate rainfall is expected in Southern India on March 25-27. Isolated places in Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, and Puducherry are expected to receive moderate rainfall from March 25 and 27. Whereas isolated hailstorm is expected in Telangana on March 25 and in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry on March 25-26.
Widespread thunderstorm and moderate rainfall is also expected in Northeast India from March 25-28. Arunachal Pradesh, Meghayala and Assam are expected to receive heavy rainfall in isolated places from march 26-27.
Maximum Temperature Forecast
The weather department predicted no significant change in the maximum temperature in Central India for next two days, thereafter a slight rise of 2-4 degree Celsius is expected. Gradual rise of 3-5 degree Celsius is likely in Gujarat, whereas 2-4 degrees Celsius in Maharashtra.
The IMD predicts no significant change in maximum temperature for the next five days in rest of the country. No heat weaves likely in any part of the country during next 5 days.
